Read the duo’s picks…

De La Soul – “All Good (MJ Cole Remix)”

This kind of old school UK garage is just heaven, it’s so so funky but so hard and punchy and we really both love MJ Cole so much, he’s a goat. (Both)

Justin Timberlake – “Senorita”

I honestly think this is one of the best songs ever. So funky, such a vibe and we really wanted to reimagine this as UK dance. (Both)

Jhelisa x Sunship – “Friendly Pressure”

This is one of the songs we really bonded over when we first met!! Absolute masterclass in melody and old school UKG, super inspiring tune. (Both)

DJ Marky – “LK”

The first track we ever did a cover of at a live set back in 2021 so this has a special place in our hearts! we love Brazilian jazz and love drum and bass so the fusion that DJ Marky makes is a dream come true, especially with the legendary topline on this one. (Both)

Arctic Monkeys – “Ritz To the Rubble”

I feel like I channeled my early Alex Turner vocal on “who invited you” and “head fck” haha, AM was always my fav band growing up and they’re really what got me into songwriting and singing from a super early age. (piri)

“Nia Archives – “Luv Like”

Forever one of our fav jungle tracks ever, an incredible loop over breakbeats with a stunning vocal! Yes yes. (Both)

Todd Edwards – “Love Inside (Alt Mix)”

Todd is another old school goat and his chords and melody choices are just mind blowing to us, his music is so interesting and makes us both grin ear to ear on the dance floor. (Both)

Scruz – “50s (Headie One Remix)

UKG from a more new school approach here with Scruz, but again it’s the mad chords mixed with the uk dance that we love so much (Both)

Red Velvet – “Russian Roulette”

This is I feel a big inspiration to the songwriting on “dog” for me, the vibe that the harmonies add a lot of interest to what seems like quite a simple melody, and it’s just so sweet and girly I love it. (piri)

Channel – “The Sines”

Inspired the beat for “99%” massively, synth inspired me to put UKG sine wave chords into a DnB track, because never really done that before. (tommy)
