In what is arguably one of the shrewdest artist-led brand launches in modern history, Pusha T has formally entered the coffee space with Grindin.

The brand, of course, is named after his and Malice’s iconic Clipse track. Fans can expect a soft launch this month by way of a high-caffeine blend that’ll be available at Café Tropical in Los Angeles on Nov. 16 from 7 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. local time. Meanwhile, a proprietary blend from King Push and company is slated to have its debut in 2025. Next year will also see a nationwide launch of the brand, described in press notes as “a premium yet accessible” option for coffee lovers.

Those able to make it over to Café Tropical, which, interestingly enough, allegedly has its own coke-related history circa the ‘70s, will also be able to shop pieces from a new collaboration between Grindin and Carhartt WIP. Both the coffee and the collab pieces will also be available at this year’s Camp Flog Gnaw festival.

Today, like any day, is a great day to once again revisit the 2002 song at the core of the new coffee brand’s inspiration. Serving as Clipse’s debut single, and later appearing on the duo’s Lord Willin’ album that same year, the track ultimately proved to be a Hot 100 hit, complete with characteristically out-of-this-world production from The Neptunes.

Mercifully, Clipse will soon be rolling out a new album, tentatively titled Let God Sort ‘Em Out. While a release date hasn’t been announced, what has been confirmed is that Pharrell is handling the production on the duo’s first new full-length since 2009’s Til the Casket Drops.
