現在Adidasと契約をしているKanye West(カニエ・ウエスト)リリースされる度に即完売、プレミアスニーカーとなっている
Yeezyシリーズ。話題性だけでなく今までになかったデザイン、カラーリングを生み出すKanyeの創造力が反映されているスニーカーだ。そんなYeezyシリーズの中でも今回は、Louis Vuittonシリーズを紹介していきたい。
Kanyeは、自分の名前がついただけのスニーカーではなく、ルイヴィトンのシューズデザイナーであるFabrizio Vittiとどんなスタイル、シチュエーションにも合うスニーカーを作り上げた。ファッションアイコンであるKanye自身が街中、ライブ会場、ファッションショー、パーティなどどこでもどんなスタイルにでも合わせられることを意識してデザインしたという。
イタリア人のVittiは今までHipHopなどほとんど耳にしたことがないし、ラッパーとコラボレーションをするなどイメージできなかったという。カニエは完璧主義者で全ての工程に興味を持ち、全ての工程に携わりろうとした。しかし、それにはかなりの時間が必要だった為、アルバム808s & Heartbreakの完成を待った。また、パリとLAを行き来するなど初めはかなり困難な作業だった。当初はレディースも作成する予定があり、サンプルなども作成された。しかし、カニエ自身もブログにレディースを作成する大変さをブログに書くなど、Vittiと話し合いメンズ向けのみを作成することに集中したという。

Kanye West designed Louis Vuitton’s sneakers in 2009 with LV’s Shoe Designer Fabrizio Viti. Viti has been working with Luis Vuitton since 2004. He started his career at Patrick Cox then Prada,Gucci and Tom Ford. Kanye and Viti’s field was totally different. So He couldn’t imagine working with rapper. Because he is not familiar with Hip Hop at all. Viti said Kanye is perfectionist. He wanted to know about every single detail. So Viti decided to get to know each other first, but kanye was extremely busy at the time for working on his album (808s & Heartbreak) So it began after Kanye finished his album. After starting creation they back and forth each other between Paris and LA. The concept of Louis Vuitton’s sneaker is wearable for anytime,anywhere,Kanye wanted to create ideal sneaker. Actually there was a plan to create women sneakers but Kanye felt so much difficulty at the time, so they decided to focus on mens collection. ルイヴィトンのコラボモデルジャスパー。名前は、Kanyeのヘアスタイリストから取られたもの。Diamond SupplyとスニーカーをリリースしたりYeezy Boost 750を初めてリークした人物としても知られている。Yeezyシリーズの象徴でもあるストラップが印象的な同モデル。Air yeezyのサンプルとしても作成されたカラーソールをこちらで採用。2016年にはAdidasから同様のカラーのチューブラーが発売、即完売するなど時代を超えても色褪せないKanyeの才能が印象的であった。
The name of Jasper came from Kanye’s barber Ibn Jasper who is known as a first person who leaked Adidas Yeezy. And he released collaboration sneaker with Diamond supply later which looks like Jasper. Louis Vuitton Jasper features iconic strap with premium leather upper and Louis Vuitton Monogram on the sole. Adidas released similar color of Tubular Invader strap in 2016 and sold out immediately. Now we know he created timeless design.

映画監督デヴィッド・リンチが手がけたデューン/砂の惑星からインスパイヤーされたという同モデル。真っ赤なカラーはジャケット、そしてアンクル部分のボリュームは映画の登場キャラクターの着ている大きなえりのジャケットをイメージしたという。ほとんどのスニーカーはベロにポイントを持ってくるけど、僕はもっと違うことをしたかった、とカニエは当時語っていた。
This model was inspired by David lynch’s firm Dune. Red color is inspired from the package and Big Heel is inspired from Big collar Jacket from the movie. Kanye said That I wanted to make a difference from other sneakers. It features Signature padded heel and big tongue with premium leather and Louis Vuitton’s monogram logo on sole.

Louis Vuittonらしいクラシックな雰囲気が特徴のミスター・ハドソン。この名はKanyeのアルバム808s & Heartbreakでフィーチャーされているアーティストにちなんで名付けられている。同モデルは、スニーカーとロファーのハイブリッドスニーカーのようなデザイン、フォーマルな場所でスーツなどに合わせられるようKanyeがデザインしたとされている。
Mr Hudson’s looks hybrid shoes between loafer and sneaker. The name Mr Hudson came from Artist who collaborated with Kanye at his album 808s&Heartbreak. It features premium leather upper,signature padded heel with Tassels and Louis Vuitton’s Monogram on the sole.
