既に日本国内でも大きなニュースとなっているため多くの方が知るところだと思うが、2017年10月1日夜（現地時間）、アメリカ・ネバダ州のラスベガスにてカントリー音楽フェスティバル会場を狙った凄惨な銃乱射事件が発生した。
その事件は、会場から少し離れたホテルの32階の部屋の窓から地上のフェスティバル会場に集っていた人々に向けて自動小銃を無差別に乱射するというその悪意に満ちた手口とその死傷者数から“米国史上最悪の銃撃事件”とも称されており、犯行に及んだと思われる64歳の男性Stephen Paddock（ステファン・パドック）容疑者は、事件後にホテルの部屋にて自殺していたことが判明している。
そしてその凄惨な“米国史上最悪の銃撃事件”を受け、Rihanna（リアーナ）やChance The Rapper（チャンス・ザ・ラッパー）、Justin Bieber（ジャスティン・ビーバー）、The Weeknd（ザ・ウィークエンド）らをはじめとする数々のセレブリティたちがSNS上でその事件に対する反応の言葉や祈りの言葉を投稿。表記言語は英語となるが、まずはその彼らの言葉をチェックしてみよう。
