Saint Laurent Paris退任後の去就が常に話題になっていたHedi SlimaneがCelineのディレクターに就任することが明らかになった。Dior Homme、そしてSaint Laurent Parisとデザイナーに就任するとブランドのイメージを変えるだけではなく一大ムーブメントを起こしてきたHediだけにどのようなデザインが発表されるか非常に楽しみだ。
Celineのディレクターに就任したエディのもとにサンローラン時代のチームが集結。サンローランNYオフィスに以前在籍し直近までロンドンのオークションハウスCHRISTIE’Sに勤めていたLilian BardがCeline NY担当のプレス・マネジャーに就任。また、サンローラン元LAチームに所属、maxfield LAにてチーフブランディングオフィサーとしてOff White、Readymade、そしてvetementsなど多くのブランドを揃えたPeter Utzがクチュール/イベント担当のディレクターに就任。(5/16更新)
Hedi Slimaneがデザイナーに就任したセリーヌでは、不定期ではなくSupremeのように毎週アイテムをリリースする形式をとるようだ。また、Pop Upやカプセルコレクションもリリースするようだ。Hediは、セリーヌに敬意を示しつつもブランドを自分のビジョンに変えると語ったとのこと。Hediが手がけるセリーヌの初ランウェイは、9/28を予定している。(6/9更新)

There were lot of rumor of Hedi Slimane after he left from Saint Laurent Paris,but finally he will come back to fashion industry. He changed Dior Homme and Saint Laurent Paris. We will see what kinds of design coming out in the future.
Team Hedi got together again at Celine. Lilian Bred become Celine NY press manager and Peter Utz become director of couture/event. They used to work at Saint Laurent with Hedi. Lillian currently worked at Christie’s and Peter worked at max field LA as branding director.(Updates May 16th)
According to business fashion Hedi Slimane will be releasing weekly Celine drops like street brand. And They will open pop up store and release small capsule collection. He is very respectful of Celine,but the designer will transform the label into his own distinct vision. Stay tuned for his first runway on September 28th.
