A$AP MobのメンバーでラッパーのA$AP Rocky(エイサップ・ロッキー)がアメリカのスポーツギアブランドUnder Armorと契約をすることが明らかになった。A$AP Rockyといえば過去にGuessやAdidasとコラボレーションしブランドのイメージや知名度を上げることに成功している、また直近では、VLONEの1stコレクションも彼が手伝っている。Under ArmorはNBAのステファンカリーやゴルフのジョーダンスピースらと若手スターと契約をしているが、スポーツブランドとしてのイメージが強い。今回ロッキーと契約したのはファッションブランドとしてブランドを再構築する為と考えられる。

A$AP Rocky signed with Under Armor. Rocky collaborated with adidas and Guess before and he could increase both brand image. Under Armor has been dealing with young super star like Stephen Curry and Jordan Spieth. But the brand is known as sports gear brand. This time Under Armor might wants to re-create their brand image to more fashionable sports brand. It is exciting to see new Under Armor designed by Rocky.
