Rachel Chinouriri – “What A Life”

UK indie pop sweetheart Rachel Chinouriri further augments her “Little House” EP from earlier this year with a bonus track. “What A Life” is a sincere, heartfelt ballad that feels among the singer-songwriter’s most personal releases to date.

Wonderfully unique and deftly nuanced, the debut EP, “Dogs In Heaven”, from duo Silver Gore is an impeccable opening statement. Lead single “25 Metres” is one of the most emotionally resonant cuts from the project, with sweeping instrumentation and rousing vocals. 

Genesis Owusu – “PIRATE RADIO”

Australian experimentalist is back for the first time since his brilliant 2023 sophomore album, unleashing a stinging, sensational single “PIRATE RADIO”. With punk-tinged electronic production, sizzling delivery and potent, affecting and political lyricism.

Strandz ft. Mnelia – “Ms.Tery” 

UK rap boundary-pusher Strandz has been building his name as one of the best around, and with this excellent new mixtape, “Diaspora Dance Music”, he cements himself among the upper echelons. Focus track “Ms.Tery” is a standout.

Lord Apex – “EM4”

Lord Apex’s latest offering, “EM4”, finds the Londoner unleashing a series of razor-sharp verses over menacing, atmospheric production from longtime collaborator Angus Luke. Serving as another glimpse of the Smoke Sessions Vol. 4 album, the track underscores Apex’s command of the mic and his flair for vivid storytelling.

Ife Ogunjobi ft. Samm Henshaw – “Cali”

Best known for his work as the trumpet player of UK jazz’s biggest band, Ezra Collective, the polymathic talents of Ife Ogunjobi are increasingly becoming clear. George Riley – “Rain”

More than half a decade on from releasing one of the quintessential dream pop albums of recent times – 2019’s Air Con Eden – Jerkcurb are back. Comeback cut  “Larchmont” is mature, sophisticated, subtle, and gently cinematic.

WAYNE SNOW – “Fearless”

Nigerian-born, Brussels-based WAYNE SNOW is a bold and captivating presence in alternative soul. Plucked from the new album, Snowdrome, out on 17th October, “Fearless” is a grand, compelling and genre-bending piece of work.

A visionary whose legacy precedes itself, Warp Records stalwart Nightmare On Wax continues to reinvent the sonic wheel. A new mixtape is around the corner, and for now, we’ve been blessed with the enthralling new slow-burner “Bang Bien”, featuring the one and only Yasiin Bey.

Casper Grey ft. Maly – “Not Leaving But Not Loving”

A pillar of creative virtue, the multi-talented Casper Grey returns with a visceral depiction of fragmented love, told through a gritty visual and stellar musical composition, with the help of singer Maly. It’s a tough watch, but well worth your time. 

GEE LEE & Shaolin Cowboy – “The Moment I Dance”

Two of London’s hottest DJ-producers in the game right now, GEE LEE and Shaolin Cowboy, have shared a brand new collaborative double-release titled “The Moment I Dance”. The title cut takes inspiration from the grooves of classic house and garage, whilst its counterpart, “Odyssey”, ventures into more experimental territory. 

Allie X – “Is Anybody Out There”

Sharing her first track of the year in typically infectious style, pop provacteur Allie X delivers new anthem, “Is Anybody Out There”. Self-produced and written, the cut tackles isolation and loneliness with a wink and a sigh.
