Billie Eilish has a lot to celebrate.

In a new interview with Vanity Fair, the 23-year-old also looked back on some of her personal accomplishments from this year.
“I’ve done nothing but make friends all year, and gotten so close with people that I wasn’t with before, and became friends with people I used to be friends with again,” she said. “It’s just been a year filled with friendship.”
Eilish told Complex for her December cover story that she brought her friends on her most recent tour to “make it as fun as possible.”
“We’ve just been going to parks, going on bike rides, playing frisbee, playing pickleball,” she told Complex’s Eric Skelton.
To Vanity Fair, Eilish smiled before adding, “And yes, I’ve had a lot of good sex. So you’re welcome, Billie.”
Last year, Eilish’s sexuality became a hot topic of conversation when she revealed her attraction to women in a Variety cover story. Later at the publication’s Hitmakers event, she was again asked about her sexuality on the red carpet and if she intentionally came out in the story.
“No I didn’t,” Eilish said. “But I kind of thought, ‘Wasn’t it obvious’? I didn’t realize people didn’t know. I just don’t really believe in it. I’m just like, ‘Why can’t we just exist?’ I’ve been doing this for a long time, and I just didn’t talk about it. Whoops.”
The singer was critical of the exchange on Instagram, writing, “Thanks Variety for my award and for also outing me on a red carpet at 11 a.m. instead of talking about anything else that matters. I like boys and girls leave me alone about it please literally who cares.”
Earlier this year, Eilish told Rolling Stone that she overreacted because she didn’t get to “control” her own narrative.
“The whole world suddenly decided who I was, and I didn’t get to say anything or control any of it,” she said. “Nobody should be pressured into being one thing or the other.”
