現在Adidasと契約をしているKanye West(カニエ・ウエスト)リリースされる度に即完売、プレミアスニーカーとなっているYeezyシリーズ。話題性だけでなく今までになかったデザイン、カラーリングを生み出すKanyeの創造力が反映されているスニーカーだ。そんなYeezyシリーズの中でも今回は、Air Yeezt2シリーズを紹介していきたい。

Air Yeezy2ジリーズはNikeからリリースされた最後のYeezyシリーズだ。同モデルは、Air Teck Challenge2のソールやAir Trainerのシルエットがベースとなっている。爬虫類からインスパイアされたヒールの形状、アナコンダの皮膚を意識したというレザー部分の加工と動物からの影響を大きく受けたモデルとなった。また、Air Yeezyから引き継がれたストラップはそのままにシューレースの先の金具や洗練されたフォルムがよりラグジュアリーな雰囲気を出している。3色発売された同モデルのカラーは他のNikeのスニーカーのカラーリングに何度も使用されるなどスニーカーカルチャーに大きく影響を与えた。
Air Yeezy2 is built the Nike Air Tech Challenge 2 tennis shoe outsole and celebrates iconic Nike Cross Training silhouettes with the addition of the molded forefoot strap. Side leather quarter panels are inspired by anaconda and the molded rear is sculpted with a reptilian inspired spike. Nike released 3 different color of Air Yeezy2 and nike released lot of sneakers inspired by Yeezy2 silhouette and coloring.

同モデルは2011年コーチュラでのライブ時にKanyeが着用、一番最初にリークされたAir Yeezy2。KanyeがアルバムMy Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasyを作成中にデザインしたとされている。その後、パリの街をKanyeが着用し歩いている写真が撮影され、スニーカーの全貌が明らかになった。
MBDTF Air Yeezy2 is first pair of Yeezy2 sample seen by public at Coachella stage in 2011. This model is designed by Kanye during the recording process of his album My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Later Kane was spotted with these samples at Paris.
Prototype Air Yeezy 2 Black/Solar Red
NBAのスタープレイヤーKobe(コービー)とNikeの宣伝映像Black mambaで着用していたサンプル。MBDTFサンプルと思われがちだが実際はスケッチ画をベースに作成されたブラック/ソーラーレッドのサンプル。フォーポジットと同様のサポート部分が搭載されている。

Cheetah Air Yeezy 2
Air Yeezy2チータ、またはKobe Yeezy2と呼ばれるモデル。紫、赤、黄色のカラーリングが鮮やかな同モデルは、Christomas Kobe8よりインスパイアされた。世界に3足ほどしか存在しないサンプル。
This model called Cheetah Air Yeezy2 or Kobe Yeezy2. They are inspired by Christmas Kobe8. It features Purple upper with red lace and volt accents. Only 3pair of samples exist.
Oreo Air Yeezy 2
最初に発売されたブラックとホワイトと同時期に3色目として発売される予定だったとの噂があるOreo Air Yeezy2。白と黒のアッパーにAir Jordan3よりインスパイアされたセメントプリントのソールが特徴。
Oreo Air Yeezy2 is considered as a third color way with first two color ways of Air Yeezy2. It features White and Black color upper with Jordan3 inspired cement print sole.
Mix Match Air Yeezy 2
Mix Match Air Yeezy2は3色目として製作されたサンプル。Kanye自身は気に入り採用したかったようだが、Nikeより他のカラーとの違いがないことからRed Octoberが作成された。
This pair is considered as third color way of Air Yeezy2. Kanye liked the color way, but Nike didn’t accept it. Because too similar to the other two color way, and decided to go with Red October as the third release of air yeezy2.
Blackout Air Yeezy 2
DJ Folkがツイッターにて公開したサンプル。同サンプルのみ本物かどうか確認できていないという謎の多い一足。
Black out Air Yeezy 2 is showed by DJ Folk twitter account. But This pair is not confirmed authenticity.
Red Snake Air Yeezy2
Red Octoberのサンプル。一般販売されたモデルとは異なり、サイド部分の凹凸がなくスネークレザー仕様となっている。
Red Snake Air Yeezy2 is considered as early sample pair of Red October. Side part is different from retail pair.
MTV VMA 10 Air Yeezy2
MTV VMA Air Yeezy2はKanyeが2010年のMTV VMAにて着用を予定していたサンプルのAiryeezy2。LAの有名スニーカーショップRif LAにて公開された同モデルは、アンクル部分のファー、QRコードのタグ、クロコダイルパターンに加工されたサイドやアッパーのレザー、そして木箱とKanye専用に1足だけ作成された限定モデル。
MTV VMA 10 Air Yeezy2 was showcased at Rif LA. This model was supposed to worn by Kanye at MTV VMA in 2010. It features Chocolate brown color croc leather upper with Fur lining,White tongue with QR tag, and woodbox. This pair is only 1pair exist.

上記の2色を発売した後、KanyeはNikeとロイヤルティの問題にて契約解消し、現在のAdidasとの契約に移った。(Jordanは1足あたり5%前後のロイヤルティを受け取っているとKanyeはNikeに指摘したがあなたはアスリートではないと一蹴され、ロイヤルティや多額の契約金もありAdidasに移籍。)その為、Red Octoberは発売されないのではとの噂があったがアナウンスなくゲリラ発売、そして即完売。現在も$5,000(約60万円)以上の値段が付くなどYeezyシリーズで最も高い一足となっている。
After releasing 2 color way of Air yeezy2 Kanye left Nike for Adidas because of Royalty. (He asked Nike that Jordan gets royalty why I can’t get it. But Nike answered you are not athlete.) So There was a rumor that Red October never come out. But Nike released it without announcement. Red October is still most expensive Yeezy.
