NYを拠点にするアーティストTom Sachs(トム・サックス)。2012年に宇宙船打ち上げ計画をテーマにしたSpace Program Marsを開催、その中でNikeとのコラボレーションを行いMARS YARD(マーズ ヤード)が発売された。同コレクションは、宇宙服や帆などのユニークな素材を採用したものであった。そして、今回再びTomとNIkeによりSpace Campが行われ、今回発売する運びとなった。今回制作された2.0は前モデルにて破れやすかった部分の素材、ソールの形状を変更、そしてインソールはメッシュとコルクの2パターンが用意された。海外では7/27よりNikeCraft.comや限られたストアにて発売されるよう。
NikeのデザイナーBen Krischnerが青色のスウォッシュをまとったMars Yardを着用。
Mars Yardの新作が10月発売、ムーンブーツのようなモデルでストラップが2つ装着されるとのこと。(9/13更新)
The artist Tom Sachs collaborating with Nike again. This model was originally released in 2012 as part of Space Program Mars. New Model got some upgrades such as upper,midsole and insole. Tom Sachs x Nike Mars Yard 2.0 expected to release in US on July 27th via NikeCraft.com on July 27th at select oversea retailers.
