Jelly-ed, bronzed, yearning and well-fed – everything the Wonderland team is loving this week.

Studio Studios, Shoreditch

I love hair (my own included), but for years since leaving my motherland, I’ve been faced with crippling trust issues when it comes to finding a hairstylist who isn’t the one who’s been cutting mine since I was seven. Will anyone else respect my desire for floor-length hair? Or am I about to get an unsolicited big chop again? We’ve all been there.
But this year, I told myself it was time to grow up and make new alliances in London. Unsure of where to start my research, I decided to follow the lead of some hot girls – Gabriette, Ellie Rowsell, Lola Young. They’re all at Jadah Dale’s Studio Studios. Tucked away in a quiet corner of Shoreditch, this hair studio is, quite simply, a place you want to be. Unobnoxious but deeply cool, it’s filled with creatives who are some of the best at what they do, all handpicked by Dale. Hairstylist Jemima Bradley gave me the cut of my dreams and I say it with conviction – it’s long-hair approved and scary-girl proof.
Pfeffer Sal’s Buccal + TMJ Massage
I don’t know many people who would, of their own free will, decide to spend a Wednesday evening having their jaws massaged from the inside out. But, to be honest, this is kind of my dream. Tucked away in a quiet corner of Fitzrovia, Pfeffer Sal’s Buccal + TMJ Massage is a treatment I’ll not only be coming back for soon, but also recommending to everybody around me. Designed to release facial tension, it combines external facial massage techniques with advanced intra-oral work to tackle tension from the inside out. Yes, there are gloved fingers inside your mouth, but do you look snatched and relaxed afterwards? Also yes.
The Chiara, GEWLS

The sun is out and so are my toes. Sorry, not sorry. But not all foot cleavage needs to happen in a pair of rubber flip-flops. Enter the brilliance of a slinky kitten heel. GEWLS is a new brand that crossed my radar recently and is here to stay. Named the Chiara, this hybrid of a traditional slide and thong is handcrafted in Italy from supple nappa leather and suede, and available in three heel heights: flat, kitten or 7cm. After test-driving them around London, I can confidently say they’ve quickly become a staple. Good thing they come in five colourways.
Tone Deaf Denim

Sure, social media influence this and social media influence that. But have you ever shared a table with fashion editors? That, my friend, is the true epitome of mouth-to-shop. Every once in a while, an emerging brand manages to burst into the editors’ bubble and, seemingly overnight, becomes everyone’s latest gem. Right now, NY-born Tone Deaf is one of those brands, with an array of tastemakers gushing over its denim. You guessed right, I’m one of them. Creating perfectly oversized, washed denim, the brand is inherently unisex and produces in small batches with a craft-led approach. The pieces are quick-witted, the quality impeccable. Truly one to watch. I know I will be, closely.

Cooper’s Cut

As a recently turned flexitaran (a former vegetarian who occasionally dabbles in meat lest she misses out on the great pleasures of life), Cooper’s Cut is exactly the reason for said change. Nestled into the Four Seasons Hotel by Tower Bridge in London, the newly-opened steakhouse is nothing short of a mouth-watering feast. The recommended chef’s menu offers a series of amuse bouche for starters, a delicately dreamy Hokkaido 4A Wagyu for your main (with a choice of three luxurious knives, each coming from all parts of the world with their own backstory), and an apple tart to finish your sweet teeth off, all of course accompanied with a wine of your choice, or the expert sommelier’s recommendation. If you could, you’d be asking for me.
Caudalie Vinoperfect Serum

If there was such a thing as magic in a bottle, this would be it. A miracle worker for my skin, Caudalie’s Vinoperfect Brightening Dark Spot Serum has helped me reduce the appearance of even the most stubborn red spots. Made up of a mixture of brand-patented Viniferine and olive-derived squalane, it contains all the goodness for fresh, radiant-looking skin — so-much-so that I’m already of my third bottle since my first purchase, with the fourth one coming very soon.

Mitsu, Shoreditch

Behold Shoreditch’s Mitsu, a dimly-lit Japanese-fused abyss where you can get sushi, grilled meat and fried goodness at a battered eyelid. With cosy seating, perfect for girls’ nights, a lowkey date or a family gathering, their menu offers a delicious selection of izakaya-inspired dishes. The heart wanted sushi, and that’s exactly what we got in its fresh and fragrant entirety. And the cocktails ranged from silken and sweet to tarty and tangy. The highlight of the night? Their matcha tiramisu. Don’t leave without cleansing your palette with that creamy goodness. Happy dining!
Rhode Pocket Bronze + Highlight Milk

Arguably one of the industry’s most anticipated beauty products of the season — or year — this has come just in time: my bronzer hit pan. If this formula is anything like the Pocket Blush, which info suggests it is, this will be the perfect addition to the summer makeup lineup. It’s not sweat; it’s dew. It’s not botox, it’s bronzer. It’s me, not you — and it’s all thanks to Rhode. This duo, firmly in clutch with the new Highlight Milk, will undoubtedly be a go-to pairing for the girls from here on out.
Ferragamo Sunglasses

I’ve always wanted to be a Ferragamo girl — now, we’re making steps…or shades? These oval frame sunnies are the perfect in-between of the classic slimline oval frame or the chunky-block rims. Naturally, tortoise shell was the word because for summer frames, how could they not be? But the gold Ferragamo-logo and metal Gancini accents add a midas touch that pair well with most outfits and feel like peak opulence on the nose bridge.
Yukigama

’Tis the summer of sake, and look no further than Yukigama. Meaning snow bear’ in Japanese, this smooth liquor is both the perfect chill and the warmest (throat) hug. For those that love a sweet-to-the-taste beverage, fit for the sunshine, this might just be your fix in a hand-crafted, beautifully-packaged bottle.

Anything jelly!

Some of my earliest memories involve crawling army-style under my mum’s side of the bed to gain access to her treasure chest of shoes. I’d stomp her size sevens under my (at the time) twos with impressive prowess—the go-tos being a square-toed pair of Melissa jelly wedges which have since made their journey to a charity shop (without my knowledge—I’ll forgive her eventually). In the meantime, I have found great solace in Kurt Geiger’s latest foray into jelly-wear. The Maddison Wedge mules paired with the beach-to-brunch jelly totes from their SS26 collection offer the ultimate hybrid between child-like dress-up and maximalist style—more than enough to cure my nostalgic heartbreak. Not so kind to my bank account, however.
Dyson Airwrap Co-anda

I’ll be honest, I’ve heard mixed reviews on this particular tool. A fun gimmick with no lasting payoff for some, a worthwhile investment for others. But for myself, boasting half a head of 20-inch extensions that seem to hold onto water with the grip of satan, I was willing to give anything a try to make a blow-dry feel like anything other than an hour-long upper-body workout. After giving Dyson’s Airwrap Co-anda 2x multistyler a whirl for a week, my biceps have never been happier. Fit with blow-drying, smoothing, straightening and curling attachments, the device also has a Bluetooth feature to connect directly to your phone to personalise settings. No clicking multiple buttons to adjust heat or add a cool-shot necessary. The time it takes me to get ready has halved, my unnecessarily large collection of hair tools has vanished, and my patience is slowly making a return. Sometimes technology can be our friend.

Famesick, Lena Dunham

I’m a bit behind schedule here, but listening to Lena Dunham’s autobiography audiobook, Famesick, is making my sticky Tube journeys this summer that much more bearable. It’s been particularly useful during the Tube strikes, when waiting endlessly on a platform gives me enough time to get through an entire chapter. My favourite line so far: “If you make yourself a bottomless resource, people will frack.” Amen to Lena and all her Lena-isms. My literary Best Friend.
Lila Knit Sandal, Lili Curia

I’ve got my eye on a pair of Lili Curia’s knitted sandals in butter yellow, finished with a chocolate-brown bow. They’re what I imagine Marie Antoinette would wear if she spent her summers in Saint-Tropez sipping Aperol Spritzes. Paired with a cute babydoll dress (we’re firmly on Olivia Rodrigo’s sartorial side here) and white socks, they’re an instant winner.

Marshall x Hendrix™ 60th anniversary collection

For guitar fans – and fans of music in general – it simply doesn’t get much better than this. Industry-leading music technology innovators Marshall have long stood atop the apex of gear, headphones and the like. But this latest collaborator is a step up even for them. Marking 60 years since the greatest guitarist of his generation, Jimi Hendrix, first plugged into a Marshall amplifier in 1966, the company and the legendary musician’s estate have joined forces for a collection. Influenced by Hendrix’s distinctive aesthetic, the collection boasts a redesigned Acton III Bluetooth speaker draped in crushed purple velvet, a hand-wired 1959 JMH Half Stack crafted in Marshall’s Bletchley factory, and an exclusive Fuzz Face® pedal. It’s one of the best collaborations of the year, with each piece of kit proving an intricate delight. Long live Jimi!
99

Ah, 99p. What a wonderful price for anything to cost. These days, you go to a boozer or bar and spend upwards of a tenner on a shot. It’s a cardinal sin if you ask me. Aptly named 99, a new brand – from the brains behind the drink phenomenon of the decade, BuzzBallz – has emerged to make drinking gorgeously tacky and vivaciously playful once again. A variety of flavours, packing a punch but still rather delicious. To make things even more fun, they launched it in an ice cream truck in Birmingham. For anyone who knows me, you know this ticks all the boxes.

Mango x Eckhaus Latta

The Mango x Eckhaus Latta collab is here and just in time for a holiday wardrobe refresh. Mango Collectives previous collaborations with Simon Miller and Siedrés have been hugely successful and this one will not disappoint. I have a few favourites from the collection but the Leather block-heels in Chocolate have taken the win.
ZËIYT

Theres not much I love more than getting out the bath and lathering myself in oil before bed. ZËIYT, the Sandi-Palestinian brand, founded by multidisciplinary artist Gina Dirawi is my new go to potion, handpicked from ancient olive trees in Palestine and infused with natural botanicals, they smell and feel incredible on the skin.
