Mushrooms, autumnal fragrances, I Love LA, and everything in between – what the Wonderland team is loving right now.

Mushroom madness has taken over; tinctures, powders or gummies? They are everywhere, but where do you start? Can’t sleep? Reishi. Brain Fog? Lion’s Mane. Stamina Low? Cordyceps. Medshrum had me covered and got me through the ultra marathon that is London, Milan & Paris Fashion Weeks.

Aureum’s Leather Jacket

Their 2nd launch went live last week with what can only be described as the most beautiful boot I have every layer eyes on. The Victorian inspired lace up boot will turn heads and hearts.

Wales Bonner x Adidas

If Wales Bonner x Adidas filtered their collab metrics through Spotify, let’s just say I’d be a top 1% listener come Wrapped season. Their latest counter-cultural, sporty offering for Fall/Winter 2025, landing October 31st on adidas.com, via Confirmed, and through select retailers, is another one worth bragging about. Vintage-looking Trefoil tracksuits, ketchup-coloured football shirts-cum-polos for down the boozer, elegantly tailored three-stripe jackets, and expressive striped knits are all two days away from tumbling into my basket. And my favourite new trainer? Sky blue and burgundy – dangerously good. Might be calling in sick on Friday.

I Love LA

Like Girls on a martini bender for the Gen Z set, Rachel Sennott’s unapologetically ‘cunty’ (sorry, but there’s really no better word – and it’s practically canon in the show) comedy I Love LA, dropping this Monday, is about to go full cult-status à la Euphoria. Odessa A’zion is the new It girl. Rachel Sennott is agonisingly glorious. And True Whitaker? Impossible to look away from.

Bowers & Wilkins’s new Px8 S2

Wonderland Loves

There are so many headphones on the market, it is increasingly hard to pick the best pair for you. Hell, how many of my mates now are shunning wireless and back rocking the classic wired. I’m not about that though – I’m a music journalist after all, I’ve gotta be working with the best. And that is undoubtedly Bower & Wilkins’ new Px8 S2. Honestly, these bad boys blow the competition out the water. Have a read here for all the nerdy tech details if you’re interested. If not, just have a little faith in me (and Dave Becks who styles them in campaign shots) and get your mum to buy you these for Christmas.

Pollyfromthedirt

No one knows who he is yet but everyone will soon. Only four tracks out so far, plucked from the Northern English suburbia, this fella is my favourite new discovery for a while. I saw him in Cardiff a few weeks back at like 1pm in an empty venue above a boozer, and I felt something. I don’t know what, but it was deep within. Get on board now. “A weekend in majorca” is my pick of the bunch.

Lululemon x Erewhon The Brentwood Track Jacket
Take me back to LA (and Erewhon’s garlic kelp noodles…and the Hailey Bieber smoothie…and the spicy tuna crispy rice – okay, so everything)! Now that they’ve collaborated with Lululemon for this track jacket, it’s fast becoming a wardrobe staple. Not only does it bode well at the gym, but everywhere else. From dinner to the club, work to the treadmill, it’s so casual a piece that it’s a stylish statement wherever I take it. That, and it’s lightweight, so it pairs well under a bomber jacket, blazer or trench. I’ve never appreciated wearing merch or looking like an employee more.

Levi’s x Barbour Type II Denim Jacket
‘Tis the season for good denim, and in days when I don’t want to reach for a puffer jacket, this Levi’s x Barbour denim jacket is just the style elevation I was looking for. This new release is a celebration of longevity and repair in a season that feels perfect to do so. In collaborations like these, I appreciate when you can see the identity of both brands, and this is something Levi’s consistently gets right. I personally love the fabric contrast of the corduroy collars in that beer-bottle green against the denim blue. It’s a warm welcome to the Fall season without having to fully (yet) embrace the brisk Winter ahead.

SWAG II, Justin Bieber
I’m turning 25, many (many) things are amiss, but there’s always one man I can count on to make me feel love again…and his name is Justin Bieber. On Wednesday’s we don’t just wear pink, we listen to Swag II – and also, every other day of the week. This album is still on repeat for me; it’s pop, it’s a little punky, and probably a tad psychedelically-infused, but it’s ultimately a beautiful recount of Bieber’s love for his Mrs and now, son (my nephew). This will undoubtedly be top of my Apple Replay 2025.

Onitsuka Tiger Pumps

I recently had the pleasure of heading to Tokyo and my first stop after touchdown at the airport was Onitsuka Tiger. Heading down to their iconic Mexico 66 room (which – even for the most seasoned of shoppers – is not for the faint of heart), I managed to find a product rarer than a diamond: the perpetually sold-out Mexico Tigress in Crystal Pink. They’ve already graced every one of my outfits and functions since—providing the ultimate hybrid for those times you crave the comfort of a sneaker but the sleekness and style of a pump. Their cost-per-wear has already given me my money back—and in Girl Math terms, it simply means I can buy another colour way… BRB.

The breakout hack

The colder months aren’t just rough on the mood—they’re also rough on my skin. And I may not be able to fix my seasonal sorrow, but I can certainly build a new skincare routine. My most recent discovery? The breakout hack. Having tried and tested the products for a month now, I can say with full chest that this is the best and most affordable line I’ve used since the ordinary came out in its minimalism glory. The ingredients are sin-free, the packaging is essentially a new bathroom accessory, and the results are fast-action. My personal favourites that will be getting a repurchase: rebound skin milk, the spot cream and the patches. They weren’t lying when they named the brand, after all.

Junk Burgers

Junk food never tasted this good. Set in the lively Barrett Street in Marylebone, this newly inaugurated smash burger joint has everything you could ask for – and more, I realized as I set my eyes on the Puffy cookie bar. No faffing about here with the simple yet effective menu that makes the choice ever-so easy for you: veggie or meat burger, the fries or the chicken bits for sides, a soft or a soda beverage, and of course the three chocolate cookie selection.

It’s a no-bullshit equation that’ll leave you more time to think about how to get over the food coma you’ve just put yourself into.

Literally everything The Dare

There’s nothing quite like an H&M Glenn Martens party where I missed The Dare’s DJ set to reignite my love for his music. This past week, it’s been non-stop blaring bass and half-yelled hedonistic chants blasted into my ears. At 7AM on the way to work. At 6PM on the way back from work. At 8PM on the treadmill on 6.0 incline and 3.5 speed. You get the jist. My personal recommendations are “LCA,” the Freakquencies: Vol. 1 instrumental EP, and his PARTYGIRL Ibiza Boiler Room set with Charli xcx. You’re welcome.

Eve’s Hollywood by Eve Babitz
I recently read this book and cannot believe I didn’t pick it up earlier in my life. Babitz is truly the OG blogger and now my forever inspiration. I love her distinct style of writing, and the way she capitalises words seemingly at random. A fantastic tale of 1970s Hollywood: groupies, beauty, fame, and the ultimate LA guide. I reference it so much that my flatmates are now fighting over who gets to read it next.

Kiko Kostadinov Large Chain Trivia Shoulder Bag
The best shoulder bag for fitting everything on the go is the Large Chain Trivia. Mine’s covered in stickers on the back and has some Jessie Western-style feathers hanging from the chain. I could be wearing sweatpants and still feel cool if I wear my Kiko bag. It fits a small umbrella, a reusable bottle, a book, sunglasses, a phone charger, and my wallet almost perfectly. And you can wear it both as a crossbody or shoulder bag.

Ellie’s £8 Martinis
No matter what the weather’s like, me and my friends are always down for some Sex and the City cosplay, and our go-to spot is Ellie’s in Dalston. The £8 dirty martinis are my favourite. At this bar they always play Addison Rae and yes, this is where Charli XCX celebrated her wedding.

Herbar

Just because the sun abandoned us, doesn’t mean we should abandon our suncream—but I struggle to find one that I can use all year round. It’s not like I’m fussy: I just need something lightweight, doesn’t have a white cast, and will mix with other products (as my favourite lazy girl hack is mixing it with my moisturiser). Luckily, I stumbled upon Herbar’s Sun Shield not too long ago and have never looked back… Who says you can’t have it all…?

Foile

I first fell into Foile’s basket for the aesthetic… who doesn’t fall victim to cute packaging? And thank god I did, because I am now living for the way my skin feels. Isabel Marant AW24

I got a bit too excited at my first Bicester run of the year and caved into buying the perfect winter jacket (because money doesn’t exist when it’s discounted, right?!) Geranium 33, Le Labo
I’m a certified good-smelling gal. Which just means, for the love or hate of my colleagues, I’m constantly bathing myself in perfume at the office. And my new obsession, and official autumnal scent, I’m afraid to report, is Le Labo’s Geranium 33. A bouquet of white florals like you’ve never seen before – fresh, cosy, slightly metallic at times – it combines, of course, geranium with the ever-fascinating rose centifolia, rounded out with notes of bergamot and black pepper, and a gorgeous depth built from a blend of woods and musks. It’s truly one you won’t want to miss – and the good news is, it’s now available in the UK (for a limited time) exclusively at Harrods, after previously being a Middle East–only fragrance.

Dyson Airstrait
Whoever said diamonds are a girl’s best friend clearly never owned a Dyson. A beauty editor’s dream, walking into Wonderland’s Soho office earlier this summer to find a Dyson bag waiting on my desk was a year highlight. And as it turns out, their latest invention (the Airstrait!) is everything they say and then some. I’ve been giving myself a blow-dry after every hair wash for twelve years now, which means I’m a highly qualified reviewer in this category. And a tool that can take your hair from towel-dried to straight, smooth, and impossibly shiny in a matter of minutes? You’ll hear me singing its praises loud and clear. It’s beauty magic, ladies and gentlemen.

Dr. Barbara Sturm Thermal Sculpt Renewal Facial
It’s that time of year, and I know what you’re thinking: you could really use a facial to properly reset post-summer and ease into autumn’s cosy era. Luckily, Dr. Barbara Sturm has just what you need. In her London flagship, nestled in the heart of the city, the world-renowned aesthetics doctor has trained a team of expert aestheticians to ensure you leave those walls radiant in Sturm’s signature glow. The whole experience is dreamy – from the nature-scented room to the gentle yet high-performance formulas used throughout. My pick? The Thermal Sculpt Renewal Facial, a treatment combining different temperatures to stimulate collagen production. Thank me later.

Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant, Paula’s Choice

Paula’s Choice Skin Perfecting 2% BHA Liquid Exfoliant is the ULTIMATE hack for radiant pore-less skin. Typically, I shy away from harsh active ingredients, but my sensitive skin loves this product. Daily use is now mandatory and I cannot imagine life before this toner. I wouldn’t just recommend it to those combatting breakouts, but to all the perfectionists out there seeking truly flawless and airbrushed looking skin. Top tip: use your fingers to apply, not a cotton pad.
