10+ is back, isn’t she a beauty? Available in both a beautifully crafted boxazine and an elegant, packaged magazine format, our seventh issue is an ode to decadence and total fashion pleasure. 10+ includes a 200-page magazine, a series of A0 posters, and dedicated jewellery and beauty supplements

Our first cover spotlights a genius creative who knows a thing or two about running headfirst into all things luxurious: Philip Treacy. We take a trip inside the archive of the legendary milliner to capture a slew of his most brilliant creations on the ethereal Adot Gak – photographed by Harriet MacSween and styled by 10’s Sophia Neophitou-Apostolou. Read Mahoro Seward’s in-depth interview with Treacy here.

Darling Tenners, this is a very special editor’s letter. It’s actually my speech, the one I gave at the Fashion Awards this year, on December 2nd at the Royal Albert Hall, where I received the Special Recognition award. Presented to me by my friend Edward Enninful, it honours an outstanding contribution to fashion and celebrates a career as a creative force in the fashion industry (their words not mine).

I can’t tell you how honoured I am to be receiving this award. After 32 years in the industry my dream has always been to create a landscape to lift up others, and champion designers and creatives, by telling their stories and showcasing their worlds.

I want to thank them all for nourishing me constantly and giving me the inspiration every day to learn more, grow and be transported by their creativity. I feel like the luckiest person to have this industry to call my own. So here it is: my speech of gratitude, love and thanks for this amazing world of ours.

Firstly, I want to thank my wonderful, long-suffering family. My husband Paul for all his patience, for supporting all of my hare- brained ideas and for travelling together through this fashion life with love and faith. My beautiful, inspiring, spectacular son Zac, who is the reason I work so hard, to show him that realising your dreams is always possible through hard work, dedication and conviction. My brave, brilliant sister Ermioni, who has been there to listen and support my adventures. And my darling little brother Phido, who has shared this journey with me with laughter, love and a relentless work ethic. He is a real inspiration.

I cannot express how proud I am to be standing here and receiving this award. There is only one thing missing: my amazing Mamma and Babba. I truly wish they were here to share this moment. I know that they would be bursting with pride. I am so grateful to them both. They taught me so much and made me the woman I am today.

I thank them for their compassion, resilience, amazing work ethic and ability to teach me to dream big and never compromise on achieving all my heart’s desires. They have taught me to be fearless, never take NO for an answer and always have relentless belief. I have learnt from them that empathy, kindness and compassion must be an essential part of all our processes and interactions.

This great fashion adventure began almost 25 years ago with the birth of 10. It was a pure moment of passion, a desire to selfishly future-proof my creativity and make an environment that celebrated and championed talented people. It is a place for all gifted individuals to shine, a world where creativity is the principle and singular motivation. I wanted to build a place of innovation, imagination, freedom and inspiration. This was the dream, my ultimate objective.

That seed has blossomed into 10 Magazine. Today the 10 family has grown: 10 Australia, 10 USA, 10 Japan and the soon-to-be- launched 10 Germany. I am so fortunate for the continued growth of the 10 world, my dream, which is now resonating globally.

I have also been lucky enough to work with some of the most inspirational designers, who have all enriched my journey and become my lifelong friends and family: I worked with Antonio Berardi for 27 years and Roland Mouret for 22 years. They are my long-term collaborators; they are inspiring and passionate and inform my journey, a constant source of inspiration. Their creativity has enriched and informed my world and I am so honoured to have travelled on this journey with them.

Finally, thank you to my Tenners, past and present, the alumni who have always helped me realise all my dreams and ideas. Without these wondrous, brilliant, precious individuals, none of this would ever have been possible and nothing would ever have been realised. This spectacular team make the dream work, make it all a reality. Thank you with all my heart.

Thank you to the British Fashion Council and the whole amazing team, and of course to Caroline Rush for giving me the honour of this award. Thank you.
