Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan reportedly aren’t in each other’s ‘good graces’ and have split.
A source told People on Tuesday (December 3) that the former couple “decided to take a break” after dating for one year. The Saltburn actor, who’s the father to a 2-year-old son, and Carpenter were first spotted having dinner in Los Angeles last December. That September, the two attended a Givenchy runway show during Paris Fashion Week.
According to the source, the exes are “both young and career-focused” thus contributing to their breakup. Following Carpenter’s Coachella performance in April, which Keoghan attended, the actor appeared as the love interest in Carpenter’s “Please Please Please” music video.
When asked about the casting decision on CBS Sunday Morning, the Short ‘n Sweet singer claimed that Keoghan was next to her when she was deciding on a male lead.
“I was like, ‘Who’s the greatest actor that I can find for this music video?’ And he was next to me in a chair,” Carpenter told correspondent Tracy Smith. “And he was so excited about it. And he likes the song, which is great.”
Keoghan last congratulated Carpenter on her eight 2025 Grammy nominations while he was “put on the spot” about their relationship on The Jess Cagle Show in November.
“I don’t know anyone who works as hard. I’m in awe watching her work and how committed [she is] and the standards that she sets,” Keoghan said in the video below. “Especially being on that music video, just, she knows the vision. She knows what she wants.”
