Jimmy Fallon made Sneaker Shopping history in the latest episode of Complex’s Joe La Puma-hosted show.
The comedian and late night talk show host owns the extremely rare Nike SB Dunk Low Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Dunky sneakers, but pulled the ultimate flex by eating a pint of ice cream from the shoes. While the Chunky Dunky SB comes in its own Ben & Jerry’s-themed ice cream box, Fallon ate his chocolate chip cookie dough and peanut butter cookie dough-flavored “Tonight Dough” ice cream from the shoe.
“Another flex, we’re talking about flexes–Chunky Dunkies, you have,” La Puma told Fallon around the 8-minute mark of the video below before, being thrown “The Tonight Dough” by someone off-camera. “But this is a different level.”
“You really got it from the bodega down the street,” Fallon joked.
La Puma then asked if Fallon was familiar with the viral trend of people dipping Oreos into Jordans filled with milk before suggesting that Fallon do it himself.
“Did we ever think of eating The Tonight Dough out of the Chunky Dunkies?” La Puma asked.
“Never been done,” Fallon replied. “Should we do this?”
Adding that he’d “of course” try it, Fallon went for the stunt, pouring the entire frozen pint into the Dunks insole.
“It looks good,” Fallon said, adding “We’re eating Tonight Dough out of a Chunky Dunky. Alright, we’re making a mess.”
“The shoe may be ruined, but here we go,” La Puma said.
“No we did it,” Fallon added. “It’s all about making history with you, Joe. You don’t mess around, dude.”
