Seeing people respond to your music in real life is very cathartic. You’re reassured by the joint experience of something, and the songs become real, rather than just recordings. Social media, where we live most of the time, can make you feel quite small. We have a distorted sense of numbers and scale. The truth is, having anywhere from 200-1000 people in a room singing your music is enough to fulfil anyone and it’s this that compels you to keep developing.”
