CFDA(アメリカファッション協議会)が毎年主催する、ファッション業界で最も顕著な貢献をした人物に贈る賞CFDA Fashion Awardsが発表された。メンズウエアデザイナー部門でノミネートされていたのは、SupremeのJames Jebbia、Off-WhiteのVirgil Abloh、Calvin KleinのRaf Simons、Thom Browne、Tom Ford、錚々たるメンバーが会場に集まった。そして今年その栄光を掴んだのは、SupremeのJames Jebbia、彼はSupremeをファッションブランドと考えたことはないし、自分をデザイナーと考えたこともない、ただ私たちがしてきたことを評価していただいたことに感謝していると述べた。今後のSupremeも目が離せない。

James expressed that I’ve never considered Supreme to be a fashion company, or myself a designer, but I appreciate the recognition for what we do.
