Well, that was the concept behind Facebook’s VIP launch party last Thursday, July 23, to celebrate its Still Available residency in Los Angeles.
The picture-perfect night was the kickoff to Facebook’s three-day experiential residency on Melrose Avenue, where Facebook Marketplace was brought to life by creating an entire space to spotlight its most popular categories, including fashion, cars, home decor and more, with creators Justin Miller, Roxana Jullapat, Alexander the Tailor, Bella & Griffin, Madi Webb, Michael Washington, Vin Anatra, and Matt Starr Dream Baby Press, who hosted workshops and curated the space. Lucky attendees of last Thursday’s event were able to get an exclusive first look at the residency, enjoy DJ sets by some of LA’s best, and mingle with fellow second-hand shopping lovers

For the nostalgia-obsessed, the residency was a feast for the eyes. One activation featured an impressive lineup of posters, magazine covers and other media from the 90s and early 2000s, making for the ideal Y2K photo opp.
