ReadingThe Lives of Lee Miller
Lee Miller’s son, Antony Penrose, weaves an irresistible portrait of his mother in The Lives of Lee Miller. It’s not just a book; it’s a gateway into Miller’s extraordinary world. From avant-garde soirées with Picasso to her unflinching war photography, every story feels intimate and alive with history. The blend of glamour, grit, and artistry makes it impossible to put down. With a major retrospective of her work set for next year, this book is the perfect prelude—a vivid reminder that Lee Miller wasn’t just a witness to history, but one of its great disruptors.

Eating at… The Barbary Notting Hill
Dinner at The Barbary Notting Hill felt like stepping into a world where every detail had been fine-tuned to perfection. Watching the chefs—flames dancing, spices swirling—it felt alive, like the energy of the Barbary Coast itself had been bottled up and poured into West London. The food? A revelation. The crispy pork belly skewers had that perfect crunch, the aubergine ajo blanco was impossibly smooth, and the fire-baked basbousa? Let’s just say it’s haunted my dreams since. Pairing it with a glass from their eclectic wine list (hello, orange wine!) was the kind of effortless indulgence this place excels at. And then there’s the vibe. Storm blue banquettes, woven willow panels, warm, golden light—it’s like being cocooned in the kind of effortless cool you can’t fake. The Barbary Notting Hill isn’t just a restaurant—it’s a love letter to the senses.

Winter layering with… Herbar Skin Barrier cream
The weather outside has officially descended into the minuses, and I am well and truly feeling the chill (as is my skin). Luckily I have Herbar’s Skin Barrier cream to get me through the winter months. Complete with a smooth, buttery texture, the cream showcases ingredients such as ashwagandha, split gill, fu ling, and chaga—all hydrating and brightening in nature. Aside from the fact it’s helped my skin battle the harsh climates outside, it has been an adorable addition to my shelves, thanks to its sweet mushroom cap lid! BRB, just off to manifest a trip to Herbar’s new Adaptogenic Spa in Switzerland.

Dreaming of… Fruit Booty
Fruity Booty is the London-based underwear brand that never misses. It’s underwear designed by women, for women—and, it shows. With dreamy colourways—I have my eye on a delicious chocolate brown and powdery pink set—and frills galore, their pieces really are hard to resist. I took a trip to their Greek Street pop-up a few weeks ago, and it did not disappoint.

Wearing… New Balance 9060
I have been in need of a pair of white trainers after running my previous pair into the ground. Enter, my new New Balance 9060s from JD Sports. The perfect chunky white trainer, with subtle branding and beautiful silvery and grey accents — they’ve been my go-to shoe ever since they were inducted into my rotation.

Using… Three Warriors Gradual Tan
Winter is coming, but my pale skin is not. While I wasn’t able to enjoy sun-soaked scapes this summer, I have found my secret to glowing skin in a bottle—and I have Three Warriors to thank. Offering no nasty scents, no streaks and no transfer, it’s hands down the best self-tanner I’ve used…no easy feat for my eczema-prone skin, I can assure you. My personal preference is the Gradual Tan, it’s buildable and doesn’t go patchy—and if you need to start again, one use of their sand scrub will do it (without taking a layer of skin off). Happy tanning to all!

Reaching for… Fussy
If you aren’t Fussy with your deodorant…you need to be. I made the switch from aerosols to Fussy’s re-fillable, natural deodorant at the start of this year (consider it a “soft” new-years resolution, if you will) and I have never looked back. This month, they have revived their “Sugar Crush” scent (imagine wearing Lush’s “Snow Fairy”, but on your pits)—and I now have stocking fillers for all my Fussy-converted friends. It’s easy on the nose and the environment…need I say more?

WatchingVanderpump Rules
I write this the day after our Bravo queen, LVP, announced the re-boot of Vanderpump Rules—and no, I don’t know how I’m feeling. It’s a show that raised me (and also provided my friendship group with more debates than world affairs), and now, the cast we’ve grown to love or hate have officially had their run. Announcing the 12th season with all new SUR-vers, I have spent my evenings paying homage to the VPR cast—binging the early seasons and re-living them all over again. These really were the best – and worst – days of our lives.

Wearing… KA YO_Prototype
Given that I don’t possess a morsel of outdoor adventurism in my city-dwelling bones, the rate at which I allow a gorp-core item or two to infiltrate my wardrobe is an act of fraud. And few brands have piqued my interest of late in the manner of KA YO_Prototype, the inaugural in-house line from Swedish retailer KA YO. Encompassing everything from insulation vests to parachute pants and fleece jackets, the line draws on the unadorned beauty of Nordic landscapes, as well as the resilience of the Solaris grape – a robust, disease-resistant variety of the fruit, known for its remarkable ability to thrive in colder climates. Anyone present in London in recent weeks knows that we all could do with tapping into that Solaris knack for weathering arctic temperatures, and that’s exactly what my three-layer green forest shell jacket has afforded me. If, by some miracle, I ever do make it out into the hills and trails that attract the more intrepid among us, hydration is covered too, as I also picked up the Nalgene 32oz bottle, holding, as the name suggests, one whole litre of H2o!

WatchingThe Real Housewives of Beverly Hills
Due to the aforementioned winter climes, the return of our favourite gals from 90210 could not have come at a better time as I retreat firmly onto my sofa until those longer days re-appear. This is the fourteenth instalment from what is arguably the gold standard in the Housewives franchise, and now, for the first time, they’re all single! They’re living their best independent, sun-soaked lives, and thankfully still gracing the world with as much over-inflated, inter-cast drama as any crop of reality TV royalty should. We’re two episodes in and hooked already, so I’m happy to share that I will be sat with snacks in front of Hay-u for the foreseeable.

The Perfect Gift… Byredo’s Trois Encens
Christmas wishlists, take note: Byredo has outdone themselves again. As a firm believer that a home should always smell as stunning as it looks, their limited-edition Trois Encens set is officially a must-have. Featuring three iconic scents—Bibliothèque, Woods, and Sweet Grass—this collection transforms the ancient art of incense into a contemporary sensory experience. Each stick burns for an indulgent 30-40 minutes, filling your space with soft, fragrant smoke perfect for moments of calm. Complete with a beautifully handmade ceramic incense holder, it’s a gift (or self-gift) like no other. If anyone’s asking, yes—I’d love one under my tree this year.

Patiently waiting for… COS x Chris Perani

I’m counting down the days until the COS x Chris Perani collection lands. A true celebration of print, the collection takes its inspiration from the hypnotic intricacies of organic structures at a microscopic level—and the result? Pure magic. The blue denim printed two-piece is a standout for me.

Out and About with… SITRE
This month, I found myself at a sexual self-care workshop hosted by Danish sexual wellness label, SITRE. Guided by the ever-inspiring somatic sexologist Aisha Paris, the session was a celebration of sex positivity, brimming with empowering mantras and tantalising self-care rituals. While every product in SITRE’s line exudes effortless beauty, it’s their Full Moon Bar that has me captivated—a dreamy indulgence designed to help you channel the sensual energy of the full moon.

Visiting… Whisk by Jenki
Nestled in the hustle and bustle of Borough Market, the newly opened Whisk by Jenki is a matcha-lover’s dream. The highlight? Their Borough Market special: a matcha latte infused with Earl Grey—pure obsession in a cup. With sleek interiors, warm vibes, and a team as wonderful as their drinks, this café is a pocket of calm amid the market’s buzz. Whether you’re fueling up for a busy day or carving out a moment of zen, Whisk by Jenki at Borough Market is an unmissable treat.

Shopping at… Crystal Palace Car Boot Sale
I am in my home improvement era, so these days, every free moment is spent scrolling Facebook Marketplace or rummaging through any and all car boot sales London has to offer, hunting for the ultimate sofa, table or lamp. And let me tell you, the golden spot for treasure hunting? Crystal Palace. My home turf is home to some seriously good finds at prices that are actually reasonable (a London rarity, I know).
If you’re on the hunt for your own gems, mark your calendar: every Wednesday, 6 AM–12 PM, Crystal Palace Park hosts Crystal Palace Car Boot Sale and transforms into a bargain-hunter’s dream.

Crushing on… NAMED COLLECTIVES’ Holiday Drop
What’s a hot girl to wear in the cold and dreary winter months? Well, NAMED COLLECTIVES’ cozy, sexy and totally brat-coded tracksuits, for one. Pair it with one of its Ghost Thongs and you’ll have your situationship questioning why they missed the boat on cuffing season (they’re loss). I’m not ending the year with unclaimed baggage, I’m ending it with a bang (specifically, the Feral Fitted Black Hoodie and Sweatpants).
