He urged him turn his back on street life, as hard as it could be to let something go. “I understand what y’all are going through. But I love all you n***as in here,” he said, fighting back tears. “I mean that shit. I love you n***as, man. And I hope y’all make it out. I hope y’all make it the fuck out.”
In the video, Durk was left somewhat speechless by Wallo’s comments and added, “Man, this show crazy. This motherfucker really dropping tears for this shit.”
Wallo previously served a 20-year prison sentence for armed robbery and was released in 2017, at which point he launched his career as a motivational speaker and podcast host as part of Million Dollaz Worth of Game.
Durk was arrested in Florida on Thursday, October 24 on a murder-for-hire charge. As alleged by prosecutors, Durk’s Only the Family collective conspired to commit murder-for-hire against Quando Rondo after the 2020 murder of King Von, a frequent collaborator of the Chicago rapper.
Quando Rondo was involved in a shooting in the West Hollywood area in 2022. He was unharmed, but his friend and cousin Saviay’a Robinson aka Lul Pab was fatally wounded.
Durk’s arrest comes not long after he was named in a wrongful death lawsuit filed by the estate of FBG Duck, a rapper who was fatally shot in 2020.
This isn’t the only time Wallo has cautioned a rapper who has run into legal issues. Last month, he recounted the advice he gave to Young Thug during a meeting at Rolling Loud in 2021. He said that the rapper showed him the $1 million the festival sent him for his performance, which prompted Wallo to tell Thug to be careful now more people are relying on him financially.
